Robyn Jay
NSW LearnScope Project Officer
Robyn has a background in education, adult literacy/numeracy and VET across all sectors. She has worked in a support and professional development role with teachers and providers for the past eight years.
Currently Robyn is Secretary for the Australian Council for Adult Literacy.
Robyn was a Flexible Learning Leader in 2003 focusing on multimodal approaches to teaching and learning, multiliteracies, and how new technologies can be used to enrich teaching practice.
Robyn's passion is Digital Storytelling as a means to re-engage learners, move away from an over emphasis on written text, and to give 'voice'; to capture lives and oral histories.
In 2004 Robyn was presented the NSW Adult Learners Week Innovation in Learning award, and the Women in Adult and Vocational Education (WAVE) General Excellence writers award for her Flexible Learning Leader's paper 'Rethinking models of literacy provision for the 21st century'.
