806 – HOW EVENTive!
This Toolbox provides learning content that addresses the ‘Diploma of Event Management’ (THT50203) from the THT02 Tourism Training Package.
The learner will assume the role of a new staff member and work with various
senior members of the fictitious HOW EVENTive! events management company
to complete jobs associated with the Centenary Celebrations for the Town
of Bunjerinni.
This Toolbox includes eight competencies from the Tourism, Entertainment and Sports and Recreation training packages.
‘806 HOW EVENTive! is an engaging learning environment where the user will develop the capability required to manage events successfully. The user interacts with cyber experts by working through a series of virtual events on designing and managing sponsorship, marketing, budgets, risk, contractors and onsite event services. Dynamic, just in time and just enough content will enable users to gain skills and knowledge that are transferable into a broad range of industries including tourism, entertainment, sport and recreation.’

The Toolbox may be run from:
- the CD-ROM
- a network drive
- a web server
The same CD-ROM will run on both Windows and Macintosh computers.
Like all Toolboxes, the content of the 806 – HOW EVENTive! Toolbox may be personalised (ie customised) for each RTO or trainer. Those changes may be simple text alterations or replacement graphics, video or sound.
This Toolbox 'is designed to be used in multiple delivery modes, a mix of face-to-face, flexible learning laboratory or fully self-paced.' Individual units may be made available to the learner rather than all of the units.
Another valuable feature is that most of the Toolboxes can be 'integrated into a learning management system (LMS)' - for example Janison, WebCT™ or Moodle.
All Toolboxes come with a Teachers Guide and Technical Guide for assistance with the delivery of content and customisation.
