ICVET Update: July 2007

Meet the new website team - Wendy Wyatt and Luke Hodges

WELCOME | Maret Staron, Manager, TAFE NSW ICVET

It’s really exciting that we have Wendy Wyatt and Luke Hodges to take our website forward.  As you may be aware, we recently farewelled Heather Ferguson and Stephanie Champion and didn’t quite know how to fill their shoes.  But life is always full of surprises and we now have Wendy Wyatt with us as the website manager and Luke Hodges as our technical support.

Wendy WyattWendy brings with her many experiences and understandings of the VET sector and how people like to receive information.  She has worked as a teacher for a number of years, project managed several professional development projects, an AVETMISS project amongst others, and was Australian Flexible Learning Framework NSW Co-ordination officer.  Wendy is enjoying her role (part-time) with us, particularly the discovery of new information and the new contacts it gives her with a wide range of talented practitioners.

Luke HodgesLuke is currently studying for a Web Development Diploma and Systems Administration Diploma at Campbelltown TAFE.  He is interested in all new technologies including the web and is also interested in wakeboarding, skiing and other similar outdoor activities.  Luke is dedicated to maintaining the website at the high standard that we have all been used to and has very quickly come to grips with the platforms and software that we use.  We are enjoying learning from each other – for Luke it’s the way that large organisations such as TAFE run a website, and for us it’s seeing first hand the talent being produced from TAFE’s training.
