Conference Theme - VET Assessment and Workplace
Learning
This conference was for educational practitioners
about teaching and learning and brought
together 500 teachers, educational managers, researchers and educational
service providers for keynotes, workshops, seminars, showcases and professional
conversations.
Teachers, full time and part time, casual, head teachers, educational
managers, professional development staff, and teaching and learning support
staff were invited to:
- Embrace new and emerging practices in assessment and workplace learning
- Share knowledge, experiences and successes regarding assessment and
workplace learning
- Update on current research and perspectives on assessment and workplace
learning
- Engage with new technologies associated with assessment and workplace
learning
- Network, forge and strengthen working relationships
Each session addressed one or more of the themes:
- Assessment, including innovative strategies, assessment validation,
using technology and RPL
- Industry partnerships and entrepreneurship
- Applying VET pedagogy in the workplace
- Maintaining industry currency
- Apprenticeships and traineeships
- Using training packages
- Emerging practices in workplace learning and assessment
- National and international perspectives on workbased teaching, learning
and assessment in VET
