A Facilitator's Handbook:
Facilitating groups in the workplace
A TAFE NSW ICVET Publication
The Facilitator’s Handbook is a learner’s resource consisting of a compilation of facilitator techniques and case studies centred around two key issues; the context of the group and essential skills for working within this context.
These two topics provide an explanation to the background and delivery options for Facilitators:

- To improve skills in questioning, listening, giving feedback, observing and reflecting
- To improve understanding of group theory and dynamics and its application to facilitation.
Since its launch, the Facilitator's Handbook has served as a useful resource to groups from a wide range of contexts. Some applications have been:
- How to empower groups to move forward
- How to facilitate an attitudinal shift
- How to provide ownership with change
- How to move from trainer/teacher to facilitator
